The Herd
at
Remur Park

Our story...

It started with one wild little girl and one patient little pony.

I’m Amelia. An early childhood and primary school teacher, psychology student and mum of two wild-hearted girls. I'm an animal lover and the founder of Remur Park Herd.

This is Dundee. Star of the show. He wasn’t supposed to be mine — and technically, he still isn’t. His story begins back in 2012, when my beautiful late mama had one too many wines and impulse-ordered two utterly ridiculous ponies off Horse Deals for my 3- and 5-year-old nieces, Matilda and Leila.

Flash forward 13 years to when my own wild, fearless, untameable daughter meets Dundee. And something shifts.

She softens.
She slows.
She learns to wait, to breathe, to listen — not because I tell her to, but because that’s what he needs from her.

Watching them together, I realised: this is what regulation and connection really look like. And I wanted other children (and their parents) to experience that too.

Remur Park Herd was born beneath my mum’s old tree, on a little farm where time moves slowly and play runs deep. It’s a space built on calm ponies, muddy feet, and the valiant daily effort of trying to tame a toddler who thrives on snacks, mud and mutiny (the sparkly unicorn, rainbow princess kind).

Mini Herd Mornings (Ages 2 - 6)

Mini Herd Mornings run during term time at Remur Park. They are slow-paced, nature-based pony sessions designed especially for little ones aged 2–6.

Each session invites children into a calm, imaginative space where they can gently interact with ponies, engage in sensory-rich play, explore the outdoors, and move at their own pace.

Led by a qualified teacher and psychology student, these mornings prioritise connection, regulation, creativity and wonder—all nestled under the trees of our peaceful little farm in Kangy Angy, on the NSW Central Coast.

Holiday Sessions (Kindy - Year 2)

K–2 Holiday Program at Remur Park is a playful, nature-immersive school holiday session for kids in Kindergarten to Year 2.

Blending wild-hearted fun with emotional grounding, the program invites children into a world of pony encounters, creative nature play, and hands-on exploration.

With small group sizes and a nurturing, child-led approach, each session is thoughtfully designed by a qualified teacher to spark imagination, foster social-emotional skills, and honour the rhythms of the land.

Holiday Sessions (Year 3 - 6)

Years 3–6 Holiday Program at Remur Park is an adventurous, open-ended nature and pony experience designed for curious, capable kids ready to roam a little freer.

These sessions offer deeper engagement with our herd, hands-on challenges, wild crafting, collaborative games, and reflective moments that foster emotional resilience and creative thinking.

With a strong focus on child-led exploration, the program blends imaginative play with real-world learning—guided by a qualified teacher and grounded in respect for self, others, and the natural world.

Maddie and Brody, 3 + 5yrs

"They were a bit nervous around the pony at first but ended up taking him for a walk and loved feeding him vegetables. We loved the craft table with real flowers and leaves and the messy play station with hay and horse food."

Aliyah, 3yrs

"Aliyah loved it she’s told everyone about Dundee and we for sure will be back :) Such a magical and wholesome experience that was calming, creative and nurturing providing a unique learning experience for all children."

Atticus, 2yrs

"He's been in such a good, sweet, calm mood since coming home. It makes such a difference spending the morning engaging in nature play rather than something fast paced and causing major sensory overload."
